I was thinking of writing a new article on some of the up and coming crypto-messaging platforms like Kik and will certainly look into Kin and Status.

Security and scalability is certainly are issues for the platform, but for the users it’s going to be ease of use and convenience. I think on all fronts we are almost there. I’m keenly watching this space over the the next 12–24 months.
