What we are a looking at is a hybrid solution — Is a cryptocurrency currency backed by a few Russian guys better than fiat currency issued by a central bank? Good question.

Hopefully soon we will have more truly decentralized options available when this would be a moot issue. One space where I see this happening is Stable Coins — there are some very interesting projects which hold a lot of promise.
